Who We Are

Manx Martial Arts Academy seeks to foster the development of our students throughout their entire education. Our teaching community is made up of a group of talented and creative professionals, who are passionate about creating the best Martial Arts Training Academy in Calgary. Manx Martial Arts Academy offers the tools and support necessary for our students to reach their full potential.

Meet the Team

Sifu Andrew

Andrew has dedicated his life to martial arts. He has 53 years of training, 33 of which were under the guidance of Professor Dill. He also received training from two esteemed instructors who were certified by Bruce Lee himself: Guro Dan Inosanto and Sigung Taky Kimura. Notably, Andrew is a personal student and affiliate instructor of Guro Danial Lonero of XTMA.

Sifu Regina

Regina recently achieved her black sash. As Sifu Andrew's partner, she actively participates in all his classes and demonstrations. She works closely with the students, providing support to help them achieve their goals. In addition, she efficiently manages and organizes records, documents, and maintains comprehensive notes for the academy.

Sihing Jason

Jason has dedicated ten years to training under Sifu Andrew and has achieved a level 12 senior rank. He actively assists the kids' class, providing support with Chinese terminology. In addition, Jason diligently practices with various weapons for fun.

Sihing Raul

Raul is a dedicated martial artist with over 25 years of experience. He holds a black belt in Tae-Kwon-Do and has also trained in Wing Chun, Muay Thai, and Filipino Martial Arts. He has a passion for teaching and helps guide fellow students. Outside of martial arts, he works as a Land Administrator for an oil and gas broker.

Robyn Flynn

Krav Maga Instructor

Robyn Flynn started practicing martial arts in 1997 with Guro Michael Gregory in Montreal, QC, learning a variety of styles, including Savate, Jeet Kune Do, Capoeira, and Kali. After moving to San Diego, CA, she discovered Krav Maga and achieved green belt status in Calgary with Derrick Brown. Recently, she earned a purple belt in Traditional Close Quarter Combat while also holding a PhD in neuroscience.
